Who We Are, and Why We Keep Showing Up
Our Mission
Open to every student at UF, Pakistani or not.
The Pakistani Students Association at the University of Florida exists to keep Pakistani culture present on campus, from its language and food to its music and holidays, and to give students a community that feels like home while they are far from one.
Membership is open to every student at UF, Pakistani or not. Across the year we run keystone events that anyone can walk into: the spring Show, Basant, Iftar during Ramadan, socials around Gainesville, and biweekly Urdu Workshop sessions for anyone curious about the language.

Questions We Get Every Fall
Do I have to be Pakistani to join?
No. Membership is open to every student at UF, and a good share of the room each year has no connection to Pakistan beyond curiosity and an appetite.
Are there dues?
No. There are no membership dues.
How do I actually get involved?
Come to a GBM and join the GroupMe (opens in a new tab), where every announcement goes out first. Director positions also open up each semester and are application based.
What is the Urdu Workshop?
A biweekly evening session for anyone who wants to learn or practice Urdu: word of the day, a short lecture, skits, and games. Beginners are the point rather than the exception. See the full page.
